As much as I want Hudson to stay put and keep baking for another at least 4 1/2 weeks, it would be fabulous for him to be here. I would love to bend over, sit down, stand up, walk up the stairs, and do just about anything else without making a sound. Jordan jokes that pregnancy is "life plus sound effects" cause it's near impossible to do anything quietly when you've got a baby pushing everything in your thoracic cavity up into your diaphragm! Despite the fact he's definitely lower now, he still likes to shove his little rear and/or feet into my ribs. Let me tell you, that's fun.
Okay. Enough complaining. I love carrying this kiddo. Being pregnant is an incredible feeling, and to feel Hudson kick around, roll around, and even jab me in the ribs is a constant reminder of how blessed I am to have had a healthy pregnancy myself, and to be carrying a healthy baby-as far as we can tell. The more he moves, the more I know he's still growing, gaining weight, and doing great in there. And no matter what anyone tells you, it definitely feels like an alien is living inside you :) Sorry, Hudson, but it does!
Last weekend, we braved a trip to the beach with our small group. Yes, me at like 34 weeks pregnant looked around and found a maternity swimsuit I could tolerate, and refused to not enjoy the beach just because I feel huge! We actually had one pretty day at the beach, which almost made up for the other day and a half that were windy and chilly. Mmmm... I miss it.....
We came home Sunday, my mom came Monday, and we have been working on Hudson's room since then-and she just left this am. The walls are painted, his BEDDING IS DONE, and the paint has been bought to paint the furniture. It looks amazing, and I am so excited to get it all together in the next week-ish! It's crazy to think that even though I'm sure Hudson will hang in there for a good bit longer, and I PRAY he does, that he could technically come at any moment, need a little visit to the NICU more than likely, but be fine! CRAZY! We're praying that the Lord keeps him in there a LOT closer to term, though! Once we get some pics of the nursery taken, I will for sure get some on here.
Well, enough rambling for one morning. Time to get back to painting!
