Saw this today on one of those "we email you every week as your baby grows up and tell you what he should be doing, and make you feel bad if he's not doing everything on our list" websites.
Thought it was too funny, and I could SO relate, so I thought I'd share!
Attention Wal-Mart Shoppers:
Please be advised that there will be a mother and her four month old son shopping in our store this morning. As you see her half-sprinting through the aisles with a crazed look in her eyes, please step aside so she can get through the aisles. She is simply trying to compile all the items on her grocery list into her shopping basket in a timely manner.
Once she reaches the food section you will begin to hear loud crying and screaming coming from the green car seat she has perched in her shopping cart. Although the mother may look like she has everything under control, upon closer inspection one would notice the veins throbbing in her neck and the sweaty palms. Sympathetic looks and pleasant smiles will make her feel slightly better. Rude glares and mouths hanging open will only make her feel worse. (She really is trying to hurry.)
Please avoid the urge to approach the mother and inform her that the baby is hungry. He is not. He simply does not like grocery shopping. Also avoid the urge to peer into the little boys car seat and ooohh and ahhh at him. You are not helping and you are slowing the mother down. This is especially pertinent to people with bad breath and smell of cigarettes.
To the cashier who will be ringing up the mothers groceries; do not make idle chit chat. Keep your head down and scan as fast as you possibly can. Pretend that ringing up groceries is an Olympic sport. The mother, baby, and all Wal-Mart patrons within a hundred foot radius will appreciate you the faster you work.
Last but not least, do not reprimand the mother for not returning her shopping cart to the cart corral. She knows the quicker she gets home and takes the baby out of the car seat, the happier he will be. She will resume the courteous cart returning chore when her son is older.
Thank you!
Haha love it. enjoy!

it's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas...
So this morning, Jordan suggested we play some Christmas music, since it's November, and Christmas is starting to get closer. And now, he's humming "Let it Snow!"
I always knew I married this man for a good reason :)
and random: here's our little man at the pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago... what a cutie!

5 Months!
Well, our sweet boy is 5 MONTHS old today! Crazy how fast time goes! We were looking at pics of him last night from his first week of life, and it is so weird to think that this huge, 18-pound, roly-poly boy sitting on my lap right now was ever that little. Wow.
Here are some things he's doing now!
-sitting up on my lap without any help
-sitting on the ground with minimal help
-belly-laughing!
-smiling 24-7 at mommy and daddy
-a little shy around strangers, but warms up and smiles for the most part
-has tried rice-cereal, but isn't a huge fan
-has rolled over like 1 1/2 months ago, but doesn't care about it anymore. weird.
-bounces up and down standing on my lap or in his exersaucer
-LOVES his exersaucer
-found his feet this week and loves to grab them!
-found his right ear two days ago... and likes to play with it :) pretty cute!
-"talks" all the time! especially in his car seat
-chews on his Sophie chew toy without any help
-I almost forgot! SUCKS HIS THUMB like a mad-man!
-pretty much spits out the paci or just chews on it when you try to give it to him (he used to LOVE it)
-almost too big for his bumbo-his legs get stuck as we try to get him out of it! ha!
-in size 3 diapers, and has been for like a month or more already. insane.
-wears 6-9mo clothes. and some 12mo. easy.
-LOVES his click-toy
-STILL loves the crazy jingly bumblebee hanging from his play mat
and there are many more, but I wanted to make sure to jot these down somewhere! I want to now do this consistently, so we can see how fast H-man is growing! Man I love this sweet boy! Here are a few pics from the last few days!
