Bun in the oven...

So maybe one of these days I'll figure out a way to be a better blogger, and not one that blogs once every like 8 months.
Figured this was maybe a good place to start?!
We're pregnant again! :) So excited to announce that I'm 13 weeks pregnant, and am due with this peanut#2 (H was #1 of course) on March 17, 2012. Feeling good now - was kinda yucky for a few weeks, but am definitely blessed with relatively easy pregnancies thus far compared to so many people!
Praying for a healthy baby... but we know that our Lord is El Shaddai, God Almighty who is in control of everything, and no matter what happens, He remains perfectly in control.

precocious...

so, I think every mom thinks their child is advanced for their age. but i'll be honest, i've wondered myself! now before you freak out, hear me out :) my little man has rolled both ways before, but now not in months. weird. but..... he will sit by himself now, and has for like 3 months, will pull up some, and will stand holding on to something for 30+ min, and wants to walk ALL THE TIME holding onto someone's hands. so, maybe he's precocious in his own little way :) I think I can hear the wheels in his head turning, and him thinking "mom, seriously. if I can sit up and play by myself, why in the world would I want to lay on my back or stomach to play and learn how to roll over??!! That's just frustrating. Seriously, mommy? I'll move around on my own time. I'm just giving you a little extra time before you and daddy have to baby-proof the house. See? I'm just being considerate!"
So, there's my deep analysis on the inner workings of my almost 9 month old :)
i love you, Hudson!

I wish I kept up with this better...

So, I aspire to chronicle our lives more on this blog, so I can have something fun to look back at over the years, but I'm having a TOUGH time remembering and taking the time to write! Not that it takes more than what, like 5 min?!
Oh, well.
Hudson is just growing as fast as ever, with his two bottom teeth, sitting all the time by himself, and loves to walk holding onto someones fingers! I was watching him earlier this evening when he couldn't see me, and as a matter of fact, he is trying to get on his hands and knees to crawl! If he knows I'm watching him, he'll just scream for me to come over there... So I have to be sneaky :)
Can I also just say that I SO appreciate the customer service staff at Publix! I was making a HUGE run today, seeing as though we literally had nothing to make a meal out of at our house (rare)... it was about nap time for Hman, and my buggy was brimming with groceries. I also had a bunch of coupons in my attempts to save us a little more money, so the gentleman bagging the groceries ahead of me must have seen the sweat that was starting to form on my forehead when I got to checkout, and he, with a smile, asked if I needed any help! I told him that people like him were the reason I prefer Publix over WalMart. They are just SO helpful! And when you add the fact that they bag and put your groceries in your cart, walk you to your car, and load them for you and don't LET you tip them??!! This momma's SOLD. I don't even have to worry about putting up my cart, and wondering if I leave my child alone in the car for like .2 seconds if something bad will happen. It's wonderful.
J and I are for once SO on time with our tax return! I thought it would be a lot more crazy to file one now that we have a baby and a mortgage, but thanks to my dad-given gift of keeping receipts and important papers, it was really quite easy! So, thanks dad! Now we're just waiting for that check in the mail from the ever so wonderful IRS...
Hudson's started to babble "da da da da" "na na na na" and "ma ma ma" a little too! Can't wait till my snuggle buddy looks right at me, reaches for me and says "mama!" my heart's gonna burst!
J is also again in full swing of school-hopefully finally settled down into the distance learning program through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary out of Wake Forest. It's much more challenging than what he had been doing, and he's super thankful.
So, all that is to say, we're really not that busy at our house :)
-there's my sporadic blog update post. maybe they'll become a little more regular?
